For Nucia and Aaron, love arrived later in life after years spent becoming the people they were meant to be. As artists, they understand something many of us spend years learning: the most meaningful work cannot be rushed. It unfolds slowly, layer by layer, color by color, until one day you step back and realize you have created something extraordinary.
Their wedding felt much the same.
From the moment guests arrived at their tented wedding at Claxton Farm, it was clear that this celebration wasn’t designed around trends or expectations. It was a reflection of who they are as creative souls who value craftsmanship, beauty, and the stories hidden within the details.
The design embraced every color of the rainbow, creating a joyful tapestry of hues that felt both vibrant and intentional. Rather than limiting themselves to a single palette, they embraced the full spectrum, a fitting choice for two artists who have spent their lives finding beauty in color, texture, and expression.
For generations, the women in her family have worn opals in their wedding rings, and Nucia chose the continue the tradition with her own engagement ring. While every marriage is its own unique story, this stone serves as a thread connecting mothers, grandmothers, and daughters across time.
Perhaps the most unforgettable artistic element arrived in the form of a tintype artist who traveled with a mobile darkroom. Throughout the celebration, guests stepped in front of his camera to create one-of-a-kind portraits using a photographic process that dates back to the 1850s.
Every design choice reflected a story of family, creativity, tradition, and a love that arrived at exactly the right time. And when the celebration was over, that is what remained: a wedding that felt honest, meaningful, and completely true to who they are.
