The internship is a learning experience that helps you prepare for your own business ventures. It’s not an internship where you carry bags and work on spreadsheets. You will be photographing frequently and constantly pushed creatively.

The time dedicated to the internship is split between second shooting and coaching sessions. Weddings and sessions typically occur on weekends and are all over NC (sometimes elsewhere). Coaching sessions are spent learning software, workflow, business practices, editing—anything you want to learn that I can teach you. Coaching sessions are flexible to your schedule but occur in Asheville, NC or online.

The ideal candidate has their own gear (Canon preferred), is quasi-local to Asheville, and can commit for a season (3-4 months). However, above all else, the ideal person is eager to learn, creatively-minded, and enjoyable to be around.

The internship is offered twice a year during the spring (March-June) and fall (August-November) seasons. Applications are reviewed in early February and mid-July.

Designed for those who want to dive in for a full season and quickly grow in their business and photography skills. Seasonal sessions last for four months.

Seasonal sessions include:

-Two hour kick-off call
In this call, we will discover your pain points, strengths, and growth areas. We will make a strategic plan for the next four months.

-Weekly check-ins
We will touch base weekly on Marco Polo/Email/Voxer. This is a time for you to ask questions that pop up over the week.

-Monthly deep dives
Once a month we will meet on Zoom (or in person) to tackle one of your growth areas. We will spend 1-3 hours problem solving and discussing practical solutions. You will leave with homework and a plan for the following month.
