I can see why photographers are obsessed with Iceland: the light is divine. Even though we spent a week on the island, I would love to return to photograph an elopement or wedding in Iceland because there are unlimited stunning places to photograph. Iceland is a photographer’s dream!

One of my past wedding clients connected me with Lindsey and Pall. Pall is Icelandic, and they met while he was an exchange student in NC in high school. Fast forward through medical school and many years in between and they now are settled back in Iceland with three beautiful red-haired kids.

We started at his family’s horse farm (Kjarrn) and tree sanctuary where we had a glimpse of the sun, a small rainbow, and, of course, the horses. We ventured to the south Icelandic coast near Vík to take in Skógafoss, the black sand beach (Reynisfjara), and the incredible basalt rocks on the coast.
