Kimberly and Brandon met years ago in NYC in a dive bar where Brandon’s band was performing. They spent the next seven years dating in the city that never sleeps while he finished his PhD program and Kimberly worked for a publishing company. Brandon’s career took them to Washington, D.C., but they knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding in the place that was home for most of their relationship.
On one of the warmest December days in NYC history, they hosted 75 of their closest family and friends for a brunch at the Soho Grand Hotel. The toasts were hilarious, and mimosas were passed while everyone danced to “Crocodile Rock.” Just as the sun set over the skyscrapers, we went out for a quick walk to take in the urban jungle once more before the streetlights flickered on. Kimberly and Brandon skipped on the cobblestone streets as she pulled him in for one of those effortless so-happy-we-just-got-married kisses and then hurried back to drink and dance with their guests at the Soho Grand Hotel.
