Lauren and Dylan have a knack for choosing incredible weather days for big events. Their wedding day couldn’t have been more sublime. The day after, it poured rain all day. On their wedding day, it was sunny, not too hot, not too cold. I remember telling Lauren that it couldn’t have been any more perfect.

We planned their anniversary session quite a ways out, and it was one of those mornings when all of the elements came together. The fog wove through the mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway to provide the perfect light for our session. The warm pink sun showed off color before blasting sun rays through the pine tree forest. 

I think I was in shock when I saw what was happening before my eyes. I’ve seen the light hit fog before but never in this way for longer than 30 seconds. It was spectacular and fun to play with, especially to spend it with such great company.
