Kiana Lodge on Bainbridge Island was the perfect place to host Mark and Ian’s family and friends from near and far for their wedding day. They narrowly missed a once-a-summer heatwave that dissipated a day before their festivities began. They woke up with a slightly hazy sky from nearby forest fires with the utmost perfect temperature for a late summer day in the Pacific Northwest.

Mark and Ian helped each other get dressed in a lofted room overlooking the bay. Their designer shoes reflected their personalities and personal taste.

It was important to Mark and Ian to incorporate their heritage and family traditions into their wedding day. Their henna from the Mehndi was absolutely stunning. They opted for matching eggplant suits on the wedding day, but they wore traditional Indian kurtas for the Sangeet the night before. They changed into a matching traditional Filipino outfits for the reception. Their ceremony included the seven steps, as well as the coin blessing and veiling. Instead of a flower girl, their friends pulled a wagon with alcoholic beverages to hand out to guests before the ceremony began.

After several emotional toasts, Mark and Ian shared a fun dance to “Kiss Me” before welcoming everyone to the dance floor. Guests enjoyed a multicultural music throughout the night, and the dance floor was never empty.
